When you press the “print now” link a new window will open and the free print will open using the Acrobat reader. Make sure to load paper in your printer. If you want the best results, you should use glossy photo paper. It will give your free print that extra touch. Once you have loaded the paper in the printer, you are ready to print the free print. For paper size choose A4 and it is advised to choose high quality under printing quality.

Once the printer has finished printing, wait a while for the paint to dry. Once the paint has dried, you are ready to get to work. Now you need to prepare the right cutting materials.

step3 choosing the right cutting materials

step3 - choosing the right cutting materials

In order to cut the print, you'll need some basic materials. Here are some suggestions for the best materials. These materials are not a must but in order to receive the best results, try to use high quality utilities.

The first thing you'll need is something to cut on. The best solution would be a cutting mat, but if you do not own one, you could use whatever hard surface you have. This needs to be a surface that you do not mind getting scratched. You can also use a piece of cardboard if you want. The second item you will be needing is a knife. If you have a scalpel, that would be great. If not, use a utility knife. Make sure that the blade is very sharp. The last thing you'll need is a ruler. If you can get hold of a metal ruler, that would be great. If not, use a plastic one but make sure not to cut it. You are ready to cut out the free print.

If you are not an adult, please make sure to call one of your parents to help you
Place the printed paper on the surface you have chosen. If you look carefully, you'll see that on the corners of the monster print and the description are Grey lines. These small lines show you where you should place the ruler in order to cut. You'll notice that you will cut some of the colored background. Don't worry, this is done in order to make sure that no white lines will appear on the edges of your print. Place the ruler on the lines and cut on the outside of the print; this way, if you accidentally move the ruler you'll cut a piece of paper you will trow away anyway and you will not damage the print. Place all your fingers on the ruler and make sure that they do not stick out so you will not cut yourself.

Carefully cut all sides of the print and the monster description. Do not cut all the way through the paper. Instead cut form one corner of the print to the other corner. Once you have cut all sides, you can easily remove the print and the description from the paper sheet. All done? Great, lets frame that print.

step5 choosing the right frame

step5 - choosing the right frame

Actually there's no such thing as the right frame. There are only a few things you should take into consideration. First of all, the obvious: the frame should at least be able to contain a 15cm x 10 cm (5.9” x 3.9”) picture. You can either use a frame with the exact size or use a larger frame. If you use a larger frame, the print will have a passe-partout.

The frame itself can be whatever color and thickness you like. You can use a thin black frame (like in the picture) for a classic clean look. Since the prints are very colorful, it is best to use basic neutral colors like black, white or wood.

step6 framing the print

step6 - framing the print

OK, so now you have cut out the print and you have chosen a frame. You are ready to print the frame. Open the back of the frame and insert the print. Make sure that the right side is up and close the frame. In some cases it is possible to glue the description on the back of the frame. This is especially nice if you give the frame as a gift to someone you care about. Once you have framed the free monster print, you can hang it on your wall.

In order to hang it in the correct location, you need to read about the monster's function. If the monster minds pets, hang it near your pets; if it minds plants, hang it near your garden or house plants and so on. These free prints make great gifts for any occasion: childbirths, engagement parties, housewarmings, anniversaries etc.
